We are proud to bring you an exciting #popup programme of chamber works performed by members of the KZN Philharmonic.

You will be treated to Ravel’s famous String Quartet in F major performed by concert master and associate concert master Joanna Frankel and Violeta Osorhean, our principal violist David Snaith, and cellist David Pinoit.

The quartet will be joined by co-principal clarinettist Annelize de Villiers for David Bruce’s exciting piece “Gumboots” based on African themes, and only recently given its African premiere by this ensemble at the HIFA Music Festival in Zimbabwe.

Steve Reich’s minimalist work for percussion trio entitled “Drumming” will also be on show, performed by the KZN Phil percussionists Stephane Pechoux, Thando Nkangana, and Joshua Kim.

All of this will take place against the backdrop of the recently opened exhibition of the works of Andreas Chasomeris entitled: “Pre-code Forecast 1931”

We look forward to seeing you there!

Tickets for sale at the door (cash or card): R60 pp. R30 students/pensioners
